What do I do if I missed a dose of heartworm prevention?

In most cases, you can just give the dose at the time you realize you forgot to give it. You can pick up monthly at that new date, or if it has only been a couple of weeks, you can give the next dose on your normal day of the month. If it has been more than a couple of months since you have given your pet their heartworm prevention, please contact us for further instructions.

When should I spay/neuter my pet?

The most common time people want to spay/neuter their dog is 6 – 9 months of age. Our personal recommendation is to allow your female dogs to go through their first heat cycle, which shows sexual maturity.

Cats should be spayed at 5 – 6 months. Male cats and dogs should be neutered around 5 – 6 months of age unless owners are noticing behavior problems. In those cases, there needs to be further conversation with their veterinarian. If you have any questions regarding spaying and neutering your pets, please call us.

Do you declaw cats?

Yes, we will declaw cats. But, there are requirements that have to be met in order for us to do so. Please call us for further details.
